i am currently shopping 3 babies r us registries. due dates are october, november, december. seriously, people. stop getting knocked up. i'm broke.
when in doubt, compare your opponent to a bad mother and sex tape whore.
it's good to see that mccain is pulling out every stop in his ads. that means he understands the threat that is the obama campaign.
interestingly, the media is defending obama against mccain's tv lies. loves it.
an op piece in the ny times caught my attention. here's my favorite quote from the article:
"What was most striking about the Obama speech in Berlin was not anything he said so much as the alternative reality it fostered: many American children have never before seen huge crowds turn out abroad to wave American flags instead of burn them."
amazing. also, on the same note with regard to obama and our nation's children, check this out courtesy of mle and daily kos.
randy pausch has died. at least he lived it right.
the rocky horror picture show is an original that should not be messed with. especially by mtv. shame on you! next they are going to say they've cast zac efron as brad.
a brilliant move for obama. too bad the superbowl isn't in october.
when i heard that mccain was whining over the press coverage of obama's trip overseas, well... all i could think was that this guy is such a crybaby. waaah.
the rock band 2 set list has been released. i am very happy with the 70s and 90s selections.
“i think that we’ve proven that both parents are important in the success of a family so, no, i don’t believe in gay adoption." - this is taken from a recent interview with the new york times. what about single parent homes? did mccain just give the finger to single mothers and fathers in order to take a stance on gay adoption? i think so!
i'm shocked that no one wanted to send a message to the troops. though i don't agree with the war, i do support the men and women who dedicate their lives to serving our country, no matter the often misguided objective. i hope you all support them too.
according to this article, maybe not!
let's hope mccain doesn't try to run on the bible ticket or speak out against gay marriage when this just hit the news this morning (paraphrased):
McCain was still living with his wife when he started an affair with his mistress. He's had several documented affairs while married to his first wife.
He was still legally married when he applied for a marriage license to his second wife.
McCain, who was married for about 14 years to his first wife Carol, filed for divorce on February 19th, 1980.
The two lived together until January 7th of that year, even though McCain had already been dating his mistress for months prior.
He then went to apply for a marriage license less than a month later on March 6, 1980 to marry Cindy Hensley, the much younger heiress to a wealthy Arizona beer distributorship.
But it wasn't until the NEXT month that his divorce was finalized on April 2nd.
After that, McCain waited just five weeks to perform his marriage ceremony to his second wife, Cindy.
once again, a few friends and i are baking cookies for our troops. one of the girls' husband served 2 terms over in iraq, so we are sending treats to his friends who are now in afghanistan. i will be including a note for the soldiers, because it is probably nice to receive encouraging words from home.
the cookie baking will be happening this saturday, so if you'd like me to include a note from you (i'll just print out a copy of the email with your first name and location, not your email address) please email me by saturday at noon and i will include it in the package.
thanks!
obama wants us to pay off clinton's (historically largest ever) primary campaign debt. it's the only way to unite the party, he says. i highly doubt that.
40% of her supporters say they are staying home in november and won't vote at all, which will cause mccain to win. a large number of hillary's supporters say they'll vote, but they're voting for mccain come november. so were her supporters really democrats at all? i knew she suspiciously agreed with too many of mccain's views when she spoke in the debates, but come on.
i say take that debt and shove it. she stayed in the race long past the time when it was mathematically impossible for her to win. she pushed the campaign further than it needed to go, donating her own money when her donors were dry, and leaving our party in shambles. and now it's MY responsibility to pay her back for the personal money she donated to her campaign? her tax return shows a combined income of over $100 million between her and bill last year. i only made .06% of that before taxes, and i was highly paid. she can SUCK IT.
oh, and happy birthday mom!
the problem is, i'm not sure i believe him.
jason and i have fallen in love with a tv show called "the big bang theory." it's freaking hilarious. it's about 4 geek nearly 30 physicist and engineer college professors. there is one character on the show named sheldon who steals every scene, played by jim parsons (aka the medieval times knight in garden state). if you get the chance, you should watch an episode on the website. you'll get hooked. or maybe we're just super-nerdy.
i am EXTREMELY worried about barack obama's recent "slight" changes in stance on core political issues. i hope he doesn't make me regret the support i've given him since 2004. perhaps i shall write a letter to his campaign manager.
dear mr. plouffe,
if barack obama continues to talk like a republican, he won't get my democrat vote.
thank you.
please stay tuned here for a then and now comparison:
then: separation of church and state
now: extra government funding for faith-based organizations
then: pull out of iraq completely in 16 months
now: let the military commanders vote how and when to remove troops
then: public financing for campaign
now: since we take no special interest money, we are technically publicly financed*
then: NAFTA sucks and should be rewritten
now: NAFTA isn't so bad
then: end u.s./cuba embargo
now: embargo is beneficial for cuban change
then: against immunity for telecom wire tapping
now: voted for the bill with immunity provision
*this one didn't bother me as much because i wanted him to kick mccain's ass
new haircut today. i got rid of the pink. it's too high maintenance for my new low budget lifestyle. i think it's funny how my hair has changed in just a few months. i think i'll keep adding to this so i can see how my hair changes over the next year or so. now that it's short, i can change it each time i go for a cut. so far it keeps getting shorter. if it keeps getting hotter, i may end up with a sinead o'connor before summer's out!

i've been watching the story about the hostages that were released from columbia. the story of ingrid betancourt, former columbian presidential candidate, just breaks my heart.
if this is how he is planning on campaigning until november, then i know i've been right all along. thank you, barack obama.
how completely AWESOME and INTIMIDATING is it that our swimmers are breaking workd records left and right during the u.s. olympic trials? yeah, breaking world records during the TRIALS. imagine what they will do at the olympics! they will CRUSH everyone! except australia. never discount australia. love the thorpedo.
